A Little Bit of History

 

 

 

 

Although we haven't collected all the "history" of our Bedford Christmas Parade, there are some details we would like to pass along.

 

The Festival of Lights Parade is the largest lighted Christmas Parade in southern Indiana. Each of the past three years, more than 100 units marched down Bedford streets. The Christmas Parade Committee is grateful to The City of Bedford for all their support and those who Sponsor the parade.

 The 2011 Christmas Parade is being Chaired by Dexter Sipes and Co-Chaired by Becky Sipes. Other members of this year's parade committee include Shane & Shannon Dorsett, Charles Edwards, Jim Fisher, Ryan Griffith, Lisa Grissom, Joe & Melanie Hacker, Jon Heichelbech, Jack May, LuAnn Nicholson, Lori Quebbeman, Norman & Gail Sipes, Jack Voigtschild, and Dolores Williams. This committee volunteers their time and talents to put together the area's largest night Christmas Parade that continues to delight spectators of all ages.  Please take the time to thank the Committee Members and Sponsors who together make this a magical night of lights and sounds of the Holiday Season.
