Although we haven't collected all the "history" of our Bedford Christmas Parade, there are some details we would like to pass along.

One of the most common misconceptions is "who" actually puts on the Parade. Most tend to think it is the City of Bedford or Bedford Revitalizing Inc. (BRI) that finances and staffs this event. This year's parade, like in years past, is being put on solely by the Bedford Christmas Parade Committee and those who Sponsor it.

The 2008 Christmas Parade is being Chaired by Dexter Sipes and Co-Chaired by Becky Sipes and Shane Dorsett. Other members of this year's parade include Peaches Dillman, Shannon Dorsett, Jim Fisher, Kevin Gilman, Lisa & Tim Grissom, Jon Heichelbech, Penny May, Darlene McSoley, Lori Quebbeman, Dan Robbins, Norman & Gail Sipes, Gerry Taylor, Mike Terry, Jack Voigtschild, and Dolores Williams. This committee volunteers their time and talents to put together the area's largest night Christmas Parade that continues to delight spectators of all ages.  Please take the time to thank the Committee Members and Sponsors who together make this a magical night of lights and sounds of the Holiday Season.
